Im seriously interested in becoming a filmmaker. But every fuck up I make totally brings me down. My only knowledge in filmmaking is what Ive learned in class. I feel like my lack of experience is such a disadvantage with the rest of my class...it gets me down. Last friday I filmed a short film for my cinematography class. I was excited that I came up with a cute story, hired my actors (nephew and friend), I found my location. All the pieces fell into place. I bought a new camera which Im still learning how to set it up so that it will get me the correct aperture and shutter speed for my story. Im in the process of editing. I just looked through the shots I took and my footages are too OVER EXPOSED! SO there's the problem!! My shots are too bright. My aperture was set on f stop 16 on most of my shots and it was a sunny day. The light of the sun was so bright that my lens captured it all. Oh Man!! I can't reshoot. All I can do now is fix it post production which Im now gonna learn how to via youtube.
